BSTN X Air Jordan
Concept_
The design brief for the BSTN Ducati 916 aimed to commemorate the re-issue of the iconic Air Jordan 11 “Concord” sneaker by reimagining the classic Ducati 916. BSTN and IMPULS led the project, infusing the motorcycle's design with elements from the Air Jordan 11. The team drew inspiration from the sneaker's clean, glossy surface and intricate details. They opted for a two-tone color scheme with a touch of purple in the brake calipers to echo the “Concord” theme.

Design Process_
The design journey began with sketches to reimagine the proportions and enhance the Ducati's aggressive stance, akin to a player approaching the net in a fresh pair of Air Jordan 11s. Key design features included lowering the handlebars and windscreen, creating a new nose with redesigned air intakes, and a custom LED headlight bar. The gas tank was fully redesigned with an integrated gas filler, seamlessly blending into the frame's sleek lines.
Once the 2D design was finalized, it was transformed into a 3D CAD model. This model was then sent to a 3D printer for final fitment. The finished design was coated in deep gloss black paint to complement the sneaker. The project was completed with numerous detailed touches: custom cut sidewall tire tread, LED taillight, hand-stitched saddle with “45” embroidery and logo, custom 3D printed Air Jordan gas tank logo, and bespoke brake rotor logos and details.
